Typescript-only-props-typing feature is awesome, will it be released later?

What problem does this feature solve?
I found it on https://github.com/vuejs/rfcs/blob/function-apis/active-rfcs/0000-function-api.md#typescript-only-props-typing, this is more typescript style than declare type again in props option.
Will it be released later or abandoned?
What does the proposed API look like?
